The City University (CITY)

City University London is a principal provider of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and vocational education in the United Kingdom and is renowned for its international focus and the employability of its graduates. The University attracts over 23,000 students from 156 countries, while teaching staff are drawn from nearly 50 international locations, ensuring that the University has a truly international outlook. In the 2008 UK National Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) CITY was ranked in the top third of universities in the United Kingdom for research. In its Strategic Plan for 2012-2016, it is clear that City’s position as a leading global University will be secured through a renewed commitment to academic excellence, and investment of up to £200M in research-excellent academic staff, information systems and services infrastructure and property and facilities. The University is developing and strengthening through its focus on the quality of research and enterprise and the physical environment. There are currently 714 doctoral students working towards their PhDs at CITY which contributestowards the vibrant academic atmosphere of CITY. CITY has long standing expertise in participating and managing EU and wider internationally funded and industrial projects. In terms of project management, the research project will be guided and supported by CITY’s experienced University Research Office and The Enterprise Office. The Research Grants and Contracts team safeguards the financial management at the central level.
